About AgeGate – Age Verification
AgeGate is a quick-to-install, easy-to-use age verification app for stores that sell age-restricted products.
When visitors enter your store, it asks them to verify their age and dims and blurs the background, limiting access until they confirm; products stay hidden until then.
Key features
- Two verification methods:
– Yes/No: Asks visitors "Are you over 18?" and opens the site or blocks entry based on the answer.
– Date of birth: Visitors enter their date of birth as DD/MM/YYYY and their age is calculated automatically.
- You choose where to ask: Across the whole site, or only on the categories (including subcategories) and products you choose. Add a product to age verification in one click from its edit page in ikas.
- You're in control: Edit the title, description and button texts in Turkish, English and German; match the button, box and text colors to your brand and add your logo. See changes in a live preview before saving.
- Smart memory: Once visitors confirm their age, they aren't asked again for the period you set (for example, 30 days).
