About SkinMatch – Skin Quiz & Routine Finder
SkinMatch adds an illustrated 10-question skin quiz to your cosmetics store. In a couple of minutes a visitor describes their skin; SkinMatch works out their skin profile and recommends a morning and evening routine from your own products. Every suggestion says why it was picked: "10% niacinamide · for the look of pores and oil balance".
Key features
- 10 questions written from a dermatological point of view: oiliness, hydration, pores, sensitivity, redness, breakouts, dark spots, fine lines and sun habits. Each answer comes with a line illustration in your store's colours.
- Skin profile: skin type (dry, normal, combination, oily), sensitivity and the top three concerns. It also spots commonly missed cases such as oily but dehydrated skin.
- Safe suggestions: ingredients not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, such as retinol, are left out. Strong acids are not suggested for sensitive skin. Retinol and acids are never placed in the same evening; sunscreen is part of every morning.
- Dermatologist referral: for severe, painful breakouts, persistent redness or patchy pigmentation, the quiz first recommends seeing a dermatologist and shows gentle products only.
- Visitor choices: a 3, 5 or 7-step routine; avoid fragrance, alcohol, essential oils or animal ingredients.
- Product tagging: mark each product's routine step, suitable skin types, target concerns and key actives with percentages. Time of use, strength and pregnancy suitability are derived from the actives. AI suggests tags from the product name and description and you approve them; manual tagging is always free.
- From ikas product screens: tag a product from its page menu with "SkinMatch: skin tags", or tag several products at once from the product list with "Tag with SkinMatch".
- Coverage check: see in one screen which skin type is missing a product for which step. The quiz cannot be switched on until basic coverage is complete, so visitors never get an empty routine.
- Try it yourself: answer the questions in the admin panel and see which products each profile gets.
- Optional ikas tags: approved tags can also be written to ikas ("Cilt tipi: Karma", "Endişe: Akne"); your own tags are kept and your theme filters can use the same data.
- Works with any theme: opens from a floating button, your own button or a link. Turkish, English and German.
- Statistics: how many visitors opened and completed the quiz, where they stopped, skin type and concern distribution, the most recommended products, clicks and add-to-carts.
AI credits
You get 30 free credits on install. One credit is one AI tag suggestion for one product; if no suggestion can be made, the credit is refunded. Buy more from the panel (100, 500 or 2,000 products).
Privacy
Answers stay on the visitor's own device. The pregnancy answer is never stored on our server; it is only used to keep the suggestions safe. No visitor ID or IP address is stored; statistics are counts only.
Important
SkinMatch helps with choosing cosmetics; it does not make a medical diagnosis. Suggestions are based on the tags you give your products.
Pricing
The first 7 days are free with every feature included. After that, a yearly Pro plan; you can see the price for your region on the plan. If you do not switch to Pro after the trial, the quiz stops on your storefront; your tags and settings are kept. AI credits are separate from the subscription.
